{Taps the table quickly four times} "The Champ is here!" {Taps the table quickly eight times} "The Champ is here!" This is the initial reaction Madden fans had on the 12th (or the 9th if you looked well enough for the game) of August as the new long awaited entry to the Madden series was released. Everyone who plays video games, even those who hate sports games, know about Madden. Once EA took the title of greatest football series away from 989 Studio, makers of the GameDay series, they never looked back. It's been the number one selling American football game in the world (remember, FIFA football/soccer is EA best selling game world-wide). Last years game made drastic improvements on the offensive side of the ball. This year, like the cover boy Ray Lewis, its all about defense cause Defense wins championships, or does it?
I've had the game since the day it came out and I sat down and played every mode possible on every setting so that I could bring the most in depth and fair review of the game that you will find any where. I've played every Madden ever made and I was a fan of the series till the Dreamcast bore it some stiff competition that took my fan ship away. When the competition released there fourth entry of its respective series, I was greatly disappointed in the direction of the series and came back to Madden.
