Why not to become a vampire.
Vampires are naturally weak to the sun from almost every myth. In Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, they inherit the same weaknesses. The sun is bad bad news for any walking vampire. Only way you are safe from the sun is if you have fed within the last 24 hours. If you haven’t fed, well be prepared to take a beating as the sun burns away at your health. The longer you withhold from feeding, the harsher the punishment will be. Along with punishment from the sun, if you stop from feeding, your character will transform into sharper fangs, eyes bleed with crimson red, and your character will look even paler. With these stunning look changes, the citizens within the cities will begin to notice and refuse to talk to you. Hardly the way anyone would want to be treated if you ask me. If they refuse from talking to you, well that means no more dungeon crawling as you won’t be able to sell your goods or buy new goods. Hell it might even stop you from gaining new quests.
But, WHAT ABOUT THE POWERS!
With becoming a vampire, you’ll gain access to new powers. For every day you go without eating, a new power will be granted to those who waited out. Waiting out from feeding will turn out to be very beneficial.
First Power- Hunter’s Sight
Grants you the ability to use 30 seconds of Night-Eye and 30 Seconds of Detect Life.
Second Power- Vampire’s Seduction
Pretty much a high level charm spell that lasts for 20 seconds. It allows you to max a NPC’s disposition to 100.
Third Power- Reign of Terror
Silence and discourage enemies in area surrounding you.
Fourth Power- Embrace of Shadows
Three minutes of Invisibility and 90 seconds of Night-Eye.
The powers come in handy, especially for thieves. Thieves will love the ability to use Embrace of Shadows to make a quick getaway without being caught.
