The sound effects in the game are at least good. The explosions, cars, guns, they all sound great. The radio is very nice, though I often prefer to just use custom soundtracks. The DJs though are great. The soundtrack is very hip hop oriented but again, you can play your own tunes and there are other types of music in the soundtrack, just not as much of them. The voice acting is done by an incredible cast which includes:

Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile)
Keith David (The Chronicles of Riddick)
David Carradine (Kill Bill)
Tia Carrere (Wayne’s World)
Freddy Rodríguez (Six Feet Under)
Freddy Rodríguez (Lost)
Michael Rapaport (The War At Home)
Mila Kunis (That 70s Show)

All of these actors do a really, really good job in their roles and make this quite possibly the best cast ever put together for a game.

Saints Row is a good game but it also has a lot of problems and a general lack of polish, something that Rockstar’s series has never suffered from. If you need a sand box game now for your 360, this is the only one out there so you should probably pick it up. You’ll have a good time with it and probably be glad you did, but if you’ve got some patience, you might just want to wait for GTA 4.
