Tetris Splash is here, and it is about time that somebody made a Tetris game for Xbox Live Arcade but does it suck or is it cool? Well check inside to find out guys!
It’s cool, and just like any original Tetris game you might have already played. Those few who don’t know, Tetris is the classic puzzle title in which you must line up a bunch of blocks horizontally, clearing the blocks and getting points. The more lines you clear at a time the better. As you progress and score a certain amount of points you move up in levels, and the blocks will fall down at much faster rates, luckily you can switch out your blocks to the next one you are supposed to have and see on a sidebar which blocks are next. That still wasn’t enough for me however, as the game became far to fast once I got all the way up to level twenty-five! Luckily you can save the level you were on so that if you get tired of it you can go back and try again. You can also play with up to seven others online, and it definitely makes it some competitive but at least for me, some sociable fun.
The twist with this Tetris is just as the name says, an aquatic flavor of blue and green hues with an underwater aquatic feel. The backgrounds that you see while you are playing can also double as screensavers for your television, or a fish tank inside your television. The fish tanks are customizable letting you put accessories in the tank wherever you please. You are allotted a set number of spaces for fish you can put into the aquarium but the more you progress through the game, the more slots are unlocked. You can also download different fish tank decor with pirate and graveyard themes. You can even download different kinds of fish in a variety of colors for both salt and fresh water fish. It is a shame however that you have to pay for so much of the aquarium parts if you are wanting to make it look nifty.
Visually as I said before it is pretty decent, but what do you expect from Tetris? The aquarium look is something neat to look at, but what really matters is the puzzle. The classic Tetris theme is intact as well, and

Overall this is an incredibly addictive game that is great exercise for the brain, and just trying to get the achievements will get you hooked. At 800 points or ten dollars it is definitely a better option than the Tetris game already available for Xbox 360 that you buy at the stores. Being a woman myself that can only stand so much of Halo 3, it is a great alternative if your man cares about achievements, and ladies I am willing to bet you could best him at it too, since it doesn’t have to do with blowing aliens up, but actually using your brain.
